Abstract

The advancement of information technology and the internet has massively transformed the way humans communicate, and social media has become one of the most popular mediums today known as “new media”.

    Biography: A lecturer in the English Language Education Study Program at IKIP Siliwangi. Completed a Bachelor’s degree (S1) at the Institut Teknologi Bandung in 2006, then continued postgraduate studies with a Graduate Diploma at Curtin University in 2007, and completed a Master’s degree (S2) at Universitas Islam Nusantara in 2013. The author’s research interests focus on literacy and popular culture.
