Distinguished international and national keynote speakers, Esteemed representatives from various higher education institutions across Indonesia and beyond, And all honored attendees and participants of the International Conference & Annual Business Meeting 2025.

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh,
Peace be upon us all,

It is a profound honor and immense pleasure for me, as the President of the English Language Education Study Program Association (ELESPA/APSPBI), to stand before you at the opening of the International Conference & Annual Business Meeting 2025 under the theme “Transforming English Language Education: Innovation, Inclusion, and Impact.”

All praise be to God Almighty, for His grace and blessings, we are able to gather on this beautiful island of the gods, Bali, in the spirit of advancing and transforming English language education. I believe that the selection of Bali as our host is not only due to its stunning natural beauty but also because of its inspiring atmosphere that can spark brilliant ideas and productive collaborations.

The theme of our conference this time, “Transforming English Language Education: Innovation, Inclusion, and Impact,” reflects the challenges and opportunities we face in this dynamic global era. Innovation is key to developing teaching and learning methods that are relevant to the times. Inclusion is a moral and social imperative to ensure that every individual has an equal opportunity to master English as a global communication tool. And no less important, we must measure and enhance the impact of English language education on the development of individuals, communities, and the nation.

I am particularly thrilled to welcome our highly competent and inspiring keynote speakers, both from the international and national arenas. The presence of Prof. Dr. Fauzan, M.Pd., Colm Peter Downes, Prof. Abdullayeva Lola Tohirovna, Ph.D., Prof. Dr. Teguh Budiharso, M.Pd. is a great honor for APSPBI and all conference participants. I am confident that the insights and experiences they will share will provide enlightenment and motivation for all of us.

This conference is not just a forum for exchanging ideas and research findings. More than that, it is an opportunity to strengthen the bonds of friendship among APSPBI members and stakeholders in English language education worldwide. Through presentation sessions, panel discussions, and informal interactions, I hope we can build strong and sustainable networks for a better future for English language education.

In addition to the conference, we will also hold our Annual Business Meeting, which is an important agenda for the APSPBI. In this meeting, we will jointly evaluate the work programs that have been implemented, plan strategic steps for the future, and strengthen the role of APSPBI in advancing the quality of English language education study programs in Indonesia.

I would like to express my highest appreciation to the entire organizing committee who have worked tirelessly with full dedication to make this extraordinary event a reality. Thank you also to our sponsors and other parties who have provided support so that this conference can be held successfully.

In closing, I hope that this International Conference & Annual Business Meeting 2025 will run smoothly, provide the greatest possible benefit to all of us, and become a significant milestone in the transformation of English language education in Indonesia and the world. Let us seize this opportunity to learn, collaborate, and together shape a future for English language education that is more innovative, inclusive, and impactful.
