Author Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in presenting your work at the International Conference and Annual Business Meeting (ICON-ABM) 2025 on the theme: "Transforming English Language Education: Innovation, Inclusion, and Impact." These guidelines provide essential information for preparing and submitting your abstract and full paper. Please read them carefully to ensure your submission meets the conference requirements.

Important Dates:

  • Abstract Submission Deadline: 13 May - 30 June 2025
  • Notification of Abstract Acceptance: 13 July 2025
  • Full Paper Submission Deadline: 13 July - 31 July 2025
  • International Conference Payment & Registration : 13 July – 22 August 2025

  • Conference Dates: 26 - 27 September 2025

Submission Process:

  • All abstracts and full papers must be submitted electronically through the conference registration and submission platform
  • You will need to create an account on the platform to begin the submission process.
  • Ensure all required fields in the submission form are completed accurately.
  • Language: All abstracts must be written in clear and concise English.
  • Word Limit: The abstract should not exceed 250 words.
  • Content: The abstract should clearly and concisely outline the following:
    • Purpose/Objective: State the main aim or research question of your study/presentation.
    • Methodology/Approach: Briefly describe the methods or approaches used in your research or practice.
    • Key Findings/Outcomes: Summarize the main results, findings, or outcomes of your work.
    • Significance/Implications: Briefly explain the significance and potential implications of your research or practice for the field of English language education.
  • Keywords: Provide 3-5 relevant keywords that accurately reflect the content of your abstract.
  • Sub-theme Selection: Indicate the sub-theme that best aligns with your abstract from the following list:
    • Technology and Innovation in English Language Education
    • Teaching Inclusivity and Diversity in English Language Curriculum
    • Measuring the Impact of English Language Education
    • Language Education Policy and Its Implementation
    • Professional Development for English Language Teachers

Full Paper Guidelines (for accepted abstracts):

  • Language: The full paper must be written in clear and concise English.
  • Word Limit: The full paper should be between 3,000 and 5,000 words (including abstract, keywords, references, tables, and figures).
  • Format:
    • File Format: Submit your paper as a Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) file.
    • Font: Times New Roman, 12-point font size.
    • Line Spacing: 1.5 spacing.
    • Margins: 2.5 cm (1 inch) on all sides.
    • Page Numbering: Include page numbers at the bottom right of each page.
    • Title Page: The title page should include:
      • The full title of the paper.
      • The full name(s) of the author(s).
      • Affiliation(s) of the author(s) (department, institution, country).
      • Email address(es) of the author(s).
      • A brief abstract (as submitted).
      • Keywords (as submitted).
    • Headings and Subheadings: Use clear and consistent headings and subheadings to organize your paper.
    • Tables and Figures: Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively and placed within the text where they are discussed. Provide clear captions and source information where applicable.
    • Citations and References: Follow the APA 7th Edition style for all citations within the text and for the list of references at the end of the paper. Ensure all cited works are included in the reference list and vice versa.
  • Content: The full paper should typically include the following sections:
    • Introduction: Provide background information, state the research problem/objectives, and outline the scope of the paper.
    • Literature Review: Discuss relevant prior research and theoretical frameworks.
    • Methodology: Describe the research design, participants, data collection methods, and data analysis procedures (if applicable).
    • Findings/Results: Present the main findings or results of your research or practice.
    • Discussion: Interpret the findings, discuss their implications, and relate them to previous research.
    • Conclusion: Summarize the main points, highlight the contributions of your work, and suggest future research directions.
    • Acknowledgements (Optional): Acknowledge any individuals or organizations that supported your research.
    • References: A complete list of all cited sources following APA 7th Edition style.
    • Appendices (Optional): Include any supplementary materials.

5. Ethical Considerations:

  • Authors are responsible for ensuring that their research adheres to ethical guidelines.
  • For research involving human participants, authors should clearly state that informed consent was obtained and that ethical approval was granted by the relevant institutional review board or ethics committee.

6. Review Process:

  • All submitted abstracts and full papers will undergo a peer-review process by experts in the relevant fields.
  • The review process will assess the originality, significance, clarity, and relevance of the submissions to the conference theme and sub-themes.
  • Authors will be notified of the outcome of the review process within the timelines specified.

7. Publication:

  • Accepted full papers may be considered for publication in the conference proceedings (with ISBN) and/or in affiliated journals (subject to further review processes of the respective journals). More details regarding publication opportunities will be provided after the conference.

8. Presentation Guidelines:

  • Information regarding presentation formats (e.g., oral presentation, poster presentation) and guidelines will be provided to authors upon acceptance of their abstracts.

9. Copyright:

  • Authors will be required to grant the conference organizers the right to publish their abstract and full paper in the conference proceedings and related publications. Authors retain the copyright of their work.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
